Old School Camps are your home for life-long learning and musical inspiration. It’s summer camp for grownups!
People attending camp should expect to take a deeper dive into their instrument, re-ignite their musical spark, improve and get comfortable in jamming and performance situations, broaden their repertoire, learn about the music genres of Bluegrass, Old Time, Folk and Roots, and pick up unlimited hot tips and techniques from their instructors: some of the best musicians in the world!
Camp is a fun and fabulous way to create community, get out of your comfort zone, find your groove, find your people, expand your horizons and re-claim joy in your life. All while sharing, playing and listening to the best music around!
Most of our camps are hosted at the pastoral home property of camp owners Jenny Whiteley and Joey Wright in the beautiful Lanark Highlands in Ontario, Canada.

“I signed up at the last minute for the Old Time pop up camp and have zero regrets. Right from the moment I pulled up, the staff and fellow campers were warm and welcoming, the property was beautiful and the vibe was perfect. It was incredibly non-judgmental and everyone was genuinely happy to be spending time together in the outdoors with our instruments. I will 1000% be returning again next year.” ~ Taryn
“So many opportunities to learn: lessons, workshops, jams. The instructors were both great musicians and enthusiastic teachers. And everyone was supportive and super friendly. Thanks for the good time!”~ Mary

“Learning how to be a better player, hearing tunes you like, meeting new friends, accepting each of us as we come….has left me with an appreciation of this kind of sharing/learning that has made me a better player and an eager returnee! Oh yeah…did I mention the food!? Thanks Jenny, Allison and Joey!” – Arthur
“Everything about the camp was simply amazing. Knowing that I was probably the least proficient musician there, everyone was so welcoming towards me. It was a personal thrill to actually take my banjo out of it’s case and join in. (something I’ve been terrified of doing!) The food was terrific, nightly entertainment was great, teachers were very friendly, patient and informative. I can honestly say that I have never been with a bunch of friendlier people in my life. I’m sure my ability has improved and that I will meet some familiar faces next year!” – Malcolm
