Old School Camps in the summer months happen at the home of Jenny Whiteley and Joey Wright, in Elphin, Ontario. Elphin is a 3 hour drive from Montreal, 3.5 hours from Toronto, 1 hour from both Ottawa and Kingston and only 7 hours from New York City!

Have a look at our photo gallery for scenic views!

We will be eating, learning, enjoying concerts, slow-jams, not-slow jams, bonfire and camping on the farm property, surrounded by pastoral fields, shady groves and acres of wild forests here in Elphin.

Campers will pitch their tents in and around our shady maple woods, with easy flat trail to the driveway, in proximity to clean washrooms with running water.

There are two beautiful, heated outdoor showers available at all times. Small campers and trailers are welcome but we do not provide hook ups. (If you are bringing a trailer or RV, we will need to arrange a specific arrival time. We will be in touch with you closer to the date.)

‘Glamping’ Tents are spacious camp tents with raised single beds with a real mattress and full bedding provided. Battery powered lighting and all set up before you arrive. Most folks can stand up in them! Coming as a couple and need a double? Let us know and we can set one up for you. Rent a Glamping Tent for Bluegrass Camp $295+ HST = $333.35 in addition to camp registration fees.

For the rare moments when you won’t be playing, like meal times and sleep; a weatherproof storage area is provided for instruments. Bringing a hard or soft case for your instruments is highly recommended – if you don’t have one, email oldschoolbluegrasscamp@gmail.com and we may be able to loan you one.

Not Camping?
There are many Inns and Hotels close by for those who prefer not to camp. Booking accommodations is the responsibility of the camper…here is a partial list for you. For Air B &B options, search for Lanark, or Sharbot Lake, Ontario.
