HUGE NEWS! New in 2023: Old School Bluegrass Camp July 2-6th, is offering a song writing class! We love running our song writing camps so much we wanted to bring that energy to Bluegrass camp! Sign up now for this wonderful and exciting program at Old School Bluegrass Camp, click Song Writing in the instrument category on the registration form. Spaces are limited.
Song Writers who attend will enjoy classes and sessions twice daily with the fabulous Kristine Schmitt. Kristine had been a sensation teaching at all Old School’s Song Writing Camps both in Elphin and on Wolfe Island. Kristine is a gifted instructor, a sharing creative, and a wonderful song writer and performer.
Song Writing campers will also participate in all workshops and jams as well as all the evening concerts and bonfire sessions. Workshops cover such topics as harmony, arrangement and “don’t call it theory”, all easily crossing over into the world of songs and song writing!
Of course, all other amenities are covered as well: three hot homemade meals a day plus snack and beverages, on-sight camping, heated private showers and washrooms, PLUS all the great vibes you can handle!
All the song writing campers will have a chance to workshop their new compositions for the rest of the camp, with the help of the professional musicians teaching here in 2023! You’ve never sounded so good!
Here’s a secret…almost all the instructors at camp are also song writers. Some of them have even won Junos and stuff! So come to camp and hang out with your new best friends, re-light your spark, kick-start your imaginations and embrace the day (and night!) while you write and perform your new song(s)!
